Present employment policy in France is composed of three objectives:
firstly, further flexibility in the labour market; secondly, further
consolidation of the unemployment benefit system; and thirdly, further
integration between completion of vocational training and increase of employment. There is a closed relationship among these three objectives, since
this French style of Flexicurity is based on the Danish model. However,
such employment policy has changed slightly since the financial crisis in
September 2008. The first objective has been weakened, while the second and third ones have been strengthened.
