From this perspective, this article views Marx’s theory of the forms of circulation, especially his concept of commodities. In order to consider purely the form of commodities and the value of commodities, we need to presuppose the relation of reciprocally independent owners of commodities that are divorced from the process of production, like trading nations, who exist in the interstices between communities. Private owners divorced from the process of production have to use their property not for the exchange to obtain the objects of their desire, but as the resources to keep living in the interstices.
