 note = {Departmental Bulletin Paper, Environmental education/learning （EE/EL） concerning Lake Biwa has been a main topic in elementary schools in Shiga Prefecture. In contrast, some data shows there are less chances for EE/EL, especially with　experiencing the activity in Lake Biwa, for junior high school students in comparison with elementary school students. However, chances for EE/EL with junior high school students and higher-grade students in elementary school is important because students start to understand the environment scientifically.
